Brader Student Recieve Zachary Gainey Awards:
Zachary Gainey was a delightful student who attended kindergarten during the 2000-2001 school year. He was kind, patient, a friend to his peers, and he had a quick contagious smile. Zachary would rush into the classroom every morning excited to return his library book to the library so that he could get a new book. He, and his twin brother Dillon, were born in 1995. Zachary had spent several of his years battling leukemia. In spite of what he had endured, Zachary always was cheerful and an enthusiastic student. He is deeply missed.
Each year, Brader PTA gives gift certificates to those students who have checked out and read the most books in each grade level.

St. Jude's Fundraiser!
Students at Brader recently participated in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Math-A-Thon program and raised $1125.00 to help kids battling cancer and other deadly diseases.
Math-A-Thon allows students to build and practice essential math skills while they raise funds for kids battling cancer at St. Jude. Participating students solve math problems in a printed or online Funbook.
Students ask family and friends for donations in support of their participation in the Math-A-Thon. All donations are sent to St. Jude, where no child is ever turned away because of the family’s inability to pay.
We would especially like to recognize this year’s top Math a Thon fundraisers.

Brader Elementary Students Learn from Statewide FFA Group
A group of FFA students from across the state visited Henry M. Brader Elementary School on March 19 as a part of the FFA State
Convention. This group of students chose A Day of Service as one of their convention activities. The FFA students went to all first, second, and third grade class rooms and shared information about FFA. In order to educate the students about aspects of agriculture the FFA students read a book about the use of donkeys and dogs in the raising of sheep. The Brader students showed what they had learned by playing a game and were rewarded for their knowledge by making a bead bracelet. The Brader students learned how FFA works and about the exciting opportunities that are a part of the organization. These students were such great role models to the elementary students.
